About the Role

Private Practice Manual Physical Therapist

We're looking for a staff physical therapist or PTA to join our team at Hands On Physical Therapy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We specialize in manual physical therapy serving a wide variety of clientele that includes orthopedics, pediatrics, women's health, lymphedema, and much more.

We treat in a relaxed atmosphere, one on one for the whole hour, providing the highest quality of care.

Pay $27 – $47 / hour

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT)

The ideal candidate is passionate about manual therapy, committed to continued learning, and thrives in a one-on-one patient care setting.


Key Qualifications:

  • DPT or equivalent from accredited program
  • Indiana PT license (or eligible)
  • Interest in manual therapy / MFR
  • Comfortable treating orthopedic, geriatric and pediatric patients

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and is eager to develop their manual therapy skills.


Key Qualifications:

  • Accredited PTA program graduate
  • Indiana PTA license (or eligible)
  • Interest in MFR / craniosacral
  • Team player willing to grow

What You'll Be Doing

Both roles share the same day-to-day focus.

  • Provide direct patient care in private practice, focusing on manual therapy and orthopedic needs, including geriatric and pediatric populations as appropriate
  • Assess, diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement evidence-based physiotherapy and manual therapy techniques — trigger point therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral, GRASTON, cupping, functional dry needling and KT taping as indicated
  • Monitor progress and document clinical notes in line with documentation standards, adjusting plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate discharge planning and transitions to independence at home
